Wonderful to have this blog after all these years. I look forward to the robust contributions from Roger fans and tennis fans worldwide. We engaged in many fine discussions about tennis at Roger's website. And a word of thanks to Roger for inspiring so many to engage with tennis through his game. The Roger Federer Era of tennis is extraordinary. May it continue for a very long time.
woohoo Rickyroger!!
ReplyDeletea blog from you and i am sure it is going to be fascinating to read this; hopefully we will get many more interesting and thought provoking posts/thoughts (like you posted in the website several times.
you already experienced with Pete and now what a fun to ride for Roger with an experienced pilot!
Thanks WCR. Glad we could do this together. I look forward to as much discussion and back and forth with you as we had on Roger's official website.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogging!
And thanks Mangai. Good to have you on board. Hope you check the place out and contribute a good deal. GO NUTS.
ReplyDeletei am already excited with this new blog you & wcr started..Woohoo wcr (how did i miss to congratulate wcr?? i guess excitement)
ReplyDeletei dont think anyone could have said better the following; very eye-catching
"I don't need a textbook to point me towards the perfect stroke".
"I'll simply know that tennis should be played the way Federer played it".
he inspires not only tennis fans but non-tennis fans as well. i will share one of my friend's story as they were forced to watch few of Nadal, Federer n other matches at my home (during the past several months). my friend's are not much into tennis and everyone made only one comment "how does Roger play like that; his style is so different from the rest".
i know within few weeks they picked up a tennis racquet and now considering going to clinics. They would like to play that style. That is the level of impact his game has.
Sincere congrats for the blog, RR! Long life to it and may you enjoy sharing your thoughts here!
ReplyDeleteI'd follow it if you promise to marry my daughter.
Sine qua non.
(or me, for that matter...)
Congratulations on this blog, dear Rickyroger & WCR!! And good luck with it - I look forward to lots of goodies here on all things Roger!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm not sure if this will work, but I thought a "quickie" on Roger's sublime forehand might be worth looking at.

Oh my God! A blog from Rickyroger. Thank you, RR and wcr, you have truly had a big part in making the RF forum what it is today and hopefully (and I'm sure of it) your blog will be just as amazing, insightful and fun to read as your posts in the RF forum have been all these years. The first does seem to deliver more of the same (good analysis with an interesting emotional twist to it).
ReplyDeleteOnce again, a big thank you for this.
Congratulations Rickyroger! I know your blog will be well thought out and full of great insight!
ReplyDeleteThanks to all you folks for your wishes. By, the way this blog is as much WCR's idea as it is mine. No tennis buddy of mine has ever encouraged me as much to start something like this, and without his backing and NACCIYAR's (one of my closest friends on RF.com), I would never have started this. WCR (the most badass Roger fan ever) and I hope to make this interesting for all you folks as we develop new ideas.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are the best. Cheers. Thanks to Looner, Sam, Natalia, Shacklebolt and FFM (Mangai) again for checking this out.
RR and WCR - what a lovely surprise. This promises to be VERY interesting and a great place to come for informative and balanced discussion. Many thanks and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteOi! natalia! RR is already married - you KNOW that.
Congrats to RickyRoger and wcr - even as a bit of a lurker around the RF forums, posting far more sporadically than most, I often digested some very insightful posts from yourselves and look forward to seeing what transpires here. I hope it all goes well :)
ReplyDeleteSo looking forward to this! Congratulations guys!
ReplyDeleteNever have I thought you two will start a blog esp you are claimed to be the busiest RF.commers! Guess I kind of got dumped because of that! ROFL! Anyway, congratulations! You two running a blog is like Rog hiring Annacone and honing his net game aka the aggressive game. I mean, whatever it means...XD
ReplyDeleteYay! bravo rickyroger and wcr! good to know where I can find your thoughts on Roger's game.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of nice greetings. Now all I have to do is figure out how to blog. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new blog, RR and WCR!!! :) At last a place where you can say whatever you want without being attacked by Roger's PR team! hehehe ;)
ReplyDeleteMaria
